Hi, i'm new with drupal, and a friend of mine wants me to modify things from his website (like adding modules, or PDFs), and I don't know which are the steps to make this work on my pc. He sent me his "sites" folder, and a database backup (mySQL), the website is already online, but the most I can do is enter as administrator. Can someone explain me in which way I can do this?

i have another thing to add, i even received a netbeans folder, that works with the website. can anybody help me with this?

Iam newer than you. so what worked ? explain how i get on my friends site to edit it?do i need to know his hosts name?? he gave me a user id adn password......but I dont know what to do with it.

Is this a trolling question?
If not to access the site to modify the sites/ folder you need ftp or sftp access to the website.
