Incredibly frustrating not having any idea why our site ground to a halt and was taking ~ 3 minutes to load a page. Eventually tracked it down to the Digg This plugin, which, when disabled, everything went back to normal again.

Just a warning to other users and a request to see if there's any way of stopping this happening (if I re-enable the plugin at a later date)?

I should note that I had been running the plugin for about 4 months with no issues and did not install any new modules or make any changes when the problem started occurring three days ago.

This exact same thing happened with me. I'm guessing it must be something to do with a PHP update on my server but i'm just guessing.

Will revert the release to Diggthis 1.2 for Drupal 4.7. The development release is not for production sites.
