I just figured out I had to set the field "PDF to ImageField" "Global Settings" > "Number of values" to 1 in order to make this module work. Unlimited doesn't work. I did not try numbers of 2 or more. It is probably due to the nature of the link between 1 PDF and its preview images : how to link several PDFs with several series of several images...
However it could be interesting to allow at least Unlimited PDF docs if only the cover page is converted. Then the result would be quite easy to expect : one image per PDF doc.

In fact I just realized I really had an issue with configuring this module : whether I specify 1 PDF file, unlimited or anything in between, the "Add Form" is missing the upload dialog box for the PDF file itself.

Unfortunately I can NOT keep such a setting in my site.
