it also does a nice job of finding similar nodes. maybe merge projects.

Related Links specifies that they're abandoned and unsupported, and that people should use Similar By Terms http://drupal.org/project/similarterms instead. I'd advocate merging the functionality of this module and Similar By Terms in some way.

This module has a taxonomy filter already that will find the closest nodes of the same taxonomy according to natural language searches of the database, which I say is a big step better. If I were Lullabot, I'd sure not take down a module project page that was another avenue of free advertising, even if this module was first, so we're probably at an impasse here. Judging from a quick scan of the similar terms module, it is already in this module anyway, but fancier.
If you want to cross post the request to the other modules to submit patches for missing functionality, I don't turn perfectly good patches away, even if it's a function I don't use or care about. Related terms is a bigger module and I'm not really interested in making the merge on my own for free.
