From what I've been reading, it looks like Commons can already be updated using drush or that it will be possible soon. What is the current status of Commons compatibility with drush? Thanks.

ezra-g commentedCommons can be packaged with Drush make, a "drush up" command will not fully update existing Commons installations. The Commons core feature modules and themes will likely be updatable via Drush once the first release of Commons from Drupal.org is made. Improved Drush update support will likely be possible once the Drupal.org distribution blockers are resolved.

jsibley commentedAny idea how long until there will be a Drupal.org release?
Also, are previous versions of commons likely to be updatable with drush to the commons.org release, once it is available?
Thanks

jsibley commentedIt has been a couple of weeks without a reply. I'm holding off on rolling out a Commons installation until I know how easy it will be to update what I roll out, or whether it will help to wait. Any guidance on what to expect and when to expect it? They seem to be making some progress on the drupal distributions thread.

jsibley commentedThe issue was not fixed. It was simply not answered. It would be extremely helpful to have any information on whether Commons will be updateable using drush and, if so, whether we are looking at the near or distant future.
Thanks.

devin carlson commentedUnfortunately, it looks like the answer is no. See #1880362: drush up for updating distributions.
