In the spirit of Don't Make Me Think, I moved some of the menus around for my implementation, but I think it would be an improvement for commons as a whole.

Exposing Groups and the Calendar as top level Menu Items makes them much more visible and likely users would engage with them.

Retitling as Commons 3.x no longer has a horizontal navigation bar for holding links to static pages, external pages, etc.

A hack to add a new region for holding a menu of static pages. Included is some basic styling for menus which are displayed using the Superfish module.

This is a hack for the hackathon, please don't use. :)
