I got following error and failed to get any exchange rate information.

currency exchange error: currency: cannot contact Yahoo Finance host

This is a problem with your hosting server.

They do not allow PHP to open socket connections to remote hosts.

So, it is not a module problem.

Hi,
any suggestion how to solve this if the machine its hosted at home ?

It depends on the Linux distro (or Windows?) that you are using.

Check this page http://www.php.net/file_get_contents and that page http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.filesystem.php#ini.allow-url-fopen

This is not a server problem now server update is going on after that it will work without any problem.This depending upon some software's like java, Linux... Thanks for sharing. Cheers..........
