Add support/feature for lightbox from a redirect not just links

Hello,

I have several pieces of content that are 403 access denied. I have them redirect to the user/login page when a 403 occurs. I was interested in using a modal window to display the user/login form and/or the user/register. I wanted to use the lightbox2 to display this. Unfortunately when the lightbox module rewrites the links for forms it only rewrites the link l() function, I wanted it to also rewrite url() functions. Is there a way to handle this? Is there any documentation about handling redirects with modal windows, more specifically lightbox 2.

My question is there a way to call lightbox2 without a rel or link class ?

Can it called with a #fragment at the end of a url ?

How does the lightbox2 module handle rewriting the links for the forms?

Please I really want to figure this out. I can provide any information that will help.
