under admin/settings/user there are different "public registration" options:

- Only site administrators can create new user accounts.
- Visitors can create accounts and no administrator approval is required.
- Visitors can create accounts but administrator approval is required.

it would be nice if this was integrated with your module so it could be selected on a role by role basis.

and i need it for my current project... so will likely look at doing this today

as i dig into this it seems like it might be difficult to get this module to work with logintoboggan module without some mods to that module as well... so will post an issue there as well...

as it is, i have modded rolesignup module to include the admin settings for the registration process on a role by role basis... and perhaps without logintoboggan it might work as is... but not with it.

well i got it all working.. but required mods to rolesignup module (just some admin settings that i could have put in logintoboggan module) as well as changes to the logintoboggan module.

i doubt these 2 designers will be interested ni these mods.. but if someone is trying to do this - feel free to get in touch with me and i can provide the mods

Peter, I posted this on another issue, but are you still using 4.7 with this module?

Yes, the mods i made for this were for 4.7.. havent re-visited it since Dr5.

Do you still need this functionality in 4.7? I'm thinking of discontinuing the 4.7 version of this now that d6 is coming out

ahh, sorry, didnt realize you were the module designer - i added the functionality myself as mentioned in post 2 above.

thanks though.

hopefully this would be doable in Dr5 and 6 and.. however.. seems like a pretty useful feature for any sort of multirole signup sites.
