I want to design a e-journal and in this forum I was recomended to use Open Journal System. It is an incredible tool for my porpouse, but my question is the following:

I am junior working with PHP, MySQL and server management. I have read in any forum about Open Journal System that it is not very stable and I could have many problems working with OJS. I don't know wether Drupal is more stable than OJS and wether it is more documented and it could be easier for me than OJS.

Does someone know about this and can he recomend me what to do?

Once you will install and spend many hours configuring Drupal with contributed modules, you will gain a poorly designed and buggy copy of OJS... Haven't you see the numbers of issues...

You can still use Drupal as a blog (but is there any advantage over other good blog softwares?) parallel to your official publication. You do not really need to share database.

Otherwise, for a personal or small team journal, you can use any of the blog-cms, including Drupal of course :-).
