Private per content type

Thanks for providing this module.

I looked around, and found numerous requests to enhance the private module to offer privacy per content type. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a definitive answer. I was wondering if the next scheme sounds reasonable, and if you would be so inclined to support it.

Allow each content type to have one of three private options:
1. none - user will not be able to set node as private (private check box won't appear at node creation).
2. optional - up to the user to decide whether or not node will be private (private check box will appear at node creation).
3. always - node will always be private (private check box won't appear at node creation, comment stating "this will be a private node" sounds very appropriate here).
