i created a vocabulary. i created a parent term i created 2 sub parent terms and 4 grandchild terms under the 2.
so i have:
parent
-sub parent 1
--term 1
--term 2
-sub parent 2
--term 3
--term 4
the question is. why is that i when i look at /taxonomy/sub parent 2/ i see the grandchild terms under it. but when i click on sub parent 1. i dont see anything. similarly when i click on the parent term, i dont see anything either. i know i m supposed to see something coz of sub parent2 has a listing of its sub terms.

I think you may have configured sub-parent 2 slightly differently.
I'm only really familiar with the category module, but there may be a setting like depth that determines the
Check to make sure that this setting is the same for parent, sub-parent1 and sub-parent2
If they are the same, then sorry, I can't help you...
Otherwise set to the depth you want (0 shows no children, 1 shows direct decendants, 2 shows direct descendants + their direct descendants, etc...)

If you're using category module
If you're using the category module, then the depth property can be set under category infomation
If you're using just taxonomy, I think there must be a depth property, but I'm not sure.
I highly recommend category if you're not using it.
