I'm guessing the OP is talking about the multiquote feature of IP board. For an example, see http://forums.asmallorange.com/index.php?showtopic=9996

It's the icon that says quote. You can click several of them, and then click "Add reply" at the bottom, and in the reply will be each of the comments you wanted to quote.
