Add a "quick search" box option (since we're moving the display options and search options to be optional). How would this work?

Well first off if the others are optional, this one should be as well.

Off the cuff, I would say it should be a simple textfield that defaults to searching either all fields or commonly searched fields - username, display name, and email.

I'm looking at something that just searches the visible fields — do you think this makes sense? The idea being that they are searching for something they can see...

I see it's postponed..but why?
Having a simple text box where users can search the data they can see whould be a great feature.
I know you can have those drop down menu's where people can select what they need to seach...not very easy :-))

Hi! It's postponed for a few reasons:

- Right now I'm moving things around to separate out the profile stuff better, so that I can actually shadow the profile values table so that I can display dates

- I don't have a ton of time right now, because work just got a _lot_ more busy.

Part of moving the profile stuff around is also going to make it easier to implement as a plug-in module, so I need to wait for that...
