I'm looking for a general idea of what it would cost to replicate most of the functionality of Buzz Central using drupal , civiccrm, and any custom modules.
I am currently the church webmaster, but I do this as a side hobby, and don't really have the time nor expertise to put all of this together. Right now we use drupal for our site http://msdachurch.org. However, we would like to have an integrated portal that can be used for management as well. The church is currently considering subscribing to Buzz Central, but I thought it would be worth while seeing if someone could come up with the same functionality for around the price of a year's subscription -- and then software would be available for other churches -- and my church wouldn't have to pay for a subscription the next year.
The key thing about any work is that it needs to be "easy to use" -- I can get around the technical issues, but most of the church staff and members will not use it if it is not easy to use.
So, let me know what you would be able to do and for what price. I am not ready to hire anyone right away. But I have a pretty good feel that if we can get somewhere close the functionality this way, for a similar price, we would probably go forward.
