Great idea about "read more". However the number of links on the destination page may be limiting sometimes. So it would be good to have a pagination there.
But as you start adding features like this, you may duplicating what views does currently. SO not sure how you g about it.

This might be a good idea but I'll need to think about it but I won't have time to look into any feature requests until February at the earliest as I just started writing a Drupal book on a compressed timeline.
