Hi,
I would be interested in co-maintaining the module. I am a co-maintainer of Invite, and I would be willing to work on userpoints_invite to help get the two in sync.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

Hey.

Sounds interesting!

The port is already going on in #871114: Drupal 7 port (userpoints_invite), I suggest you join the efforts there!

It would also be perfectly fine with me to start a new project for that module only that you can maintain. The main advantage of that would be that the module has a real chance of getting a stable version and more frequent bugfixes and updates.

Right now, I fear that this project will probably never get a stable release, as there are just too many separate modules which aren't well tested and nobody cares enough about.

What do you say?

I totally agree that it would be more straightforward to maintain the module if it had its on project. I believe we should follow that path.

Would you like me to go ahead and create a new project for it, and migrate the current submodule to its repository?

Sounds good, you're also more than welcome to take the current 6.x code with you and also move the mentioned issue over.

Please write here once you're started so that I can remove the code from this project and point to you on the project overview.

Thanks!

Okay, I'll get started on it soon, and will keep you posted as I am making progress. Thank you.

Berdir,

The new project has been created (http://drupal.org/project/userpoints_invite), and I have moved the code and issues over.

Great, I've removed the existing code from both branches.

If you need help with anything, assign the issue to me or contact me otherwise and I'll see what I can do.

Okay, thanks.
