If the "date" field is present on an import, have the Drupal node "creation date" set to match (optionally). If only the year is given, set the creation date = 12-31-YYYY.

Otherwise, after an import, the "new publications" block displays a random selection of publications, and the chronology of drupal nodes does not correspond to when the publications were authored.

Hi,

We could try this, or I could give the admin the ability to change the sorting of the "New Pubs" block. Currently it is sorted by creation date, so it lists the most recently entered publications but I could add an option to sort by other criteria like date.
