I've a shop full of products - including a few group products. I now need to offer several group products where the buyer has to select which 4 products they want from a larger range.

I can't see how to do it unless I just arrange a discount coupon. Sub-products doesn't seem to offer what I want - but please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm thinking I need to hack away to get what I want.

Any suggestions welcome. Sorry for the repost - I posted this in the forum earlier but to no avail and I'm pretty desparate for a simple solution.

Project: e-Commerce » eC Live Subproducts
Version: 4.7.x-3.0-rc1 » 5.x-2.x-dev
Component: product » Miscellaneous

Ian,

its kinda strange solution but there we go:

  • download and enable EC Live Subproducts module
  • create 4 varations (corresponding to the number of products the user should choose).
  • for each product, create a attribute with this name on EACH variation.
  • now create a Subproduct and assign all attributes to it.

and thats it. your new subproduct will have 4 varations containing all products. now users can choose what product will compound your package.

regards,

massa
