This patch adds a checkbox on the theme settings page to allow show grid toggling.

It seems that sub themes must also add the default theme settings value in there .info file as its not inherited from the base parent theme:

settings[ninesixty_grid] = 1

I had issues getting the patch to apply cleanly, but it works like a charm.
