Hi,

I just installed Drupal on my Windows machine using XAMPP and everything went well in terms of installing the CMS. However, since I do not have SMTP enabled, I am having problems authenticating user names and new registrations. Is there any way around this or do I have to enable some sort of SMTP on my machine.

Same issue is faced by me. I am also searching the solution for the same. So please suggest me the solution if you got and solved the provlem.

what i m doing as a workaround (and in the devlopmenmt phase of my website) is that i m enabling the users from the backend... may be u can do the same if u in some testing phase or something.... but yeah yes... i would also like to understand how drupal mail works and some workaroiund modules or something
