It looks like the code in git for D7 is usable for at least some of the modules.

Please could the maintainers make at least a 7.x dev release, if not also an alpha.
Even though these may not be feature-complete and may have bugs, they will still help site builders to have a fixed point to work from. Also, a lot of users who don't know about checking out a module with git may completely miss that this project has D7 code available and so this project is likely missing out on potential users and bugtesters.

Turns out there was already a 7.x-1.x-dev release, just the project page wasn't set to show it.

Let's keep this open to discuss when we're ready to make an alpha release. What are people's opinions on this? Which modules are usable, which are not?
