For example, trying to download http://drupalcode.org/project/examples.git/snapshot/refs/heads/7.x-1.x.t...

results in 

Corrupted Content Error

Seems similar to #1303208: Firefox gives "Corrupted Content error" on any "raw" or "snapshot" views in Gitweb.
