Documentation on configuration for translated NATs

Thanks to the folks maintaining this module!

I have a completely tri-lingual site using i18n where we're minimizing language mixing. I'm also using NAT, which is just fantastic for meeting our needs in many ways. However, I'm not clear on how I can translate my nodes without accumulating a long, language-mixed, in-triplicate taxonomy list.

I've read some of the issue threads that address this exact problem, yet I'm still confused about what is the exact solution. If someone can help us all out by putting a paragraph of documentation into the NAT project page, that would be so very helpful.
