I have a scenario whereby the required fields should be required if I promote to the next state, however I do not want the fields to be required if I stay on the current state.

Breakdown:
Save & Promote = Required Fields should be Required
Save without Promote = Required Fields should not be required.

Would this be possible?
Can you guys think of a quick patch for this?

Can this currently be done and I just don't know how?
