Share widget generates link to current page, not node page

The social message generated by the share widget contains a link to the page where the message was generated, instead of pointing to the node that was shared. Here's my scenario:

* Set the share widget to appear in the links
* Create a view of nodes with row style = Node and links option ON
* Go to view page: you should find the "share" link on each node
* Click share and publish to Twitter
* The Twitter message appears with a short link
* Clicking the short link points to the view page, not the node page
