Drupal.org needs a Donate button!!

Okay, we've now got the Drupal Association and that's great! Drupal now has a way to collect donations and function as an entity.

So please, MAKE IT EASIER TO GIVE A DONATION!

This site has gotten so slow as to be unusable at times. This is an intolerable situation for anyone using Drupal or someone who wants to learn about Drupal. What does it say to a newbie when the front page of the Drupal.org site takes 1-3 minutes to display?

I know Drupal.org needs new servers, hence, they need money. So PUT A DONATION BUTTON on the front page already! Don't require a person to go to the association website. Don't require them to log in or register. Don't require them to go to paypal and try to figure out exactly how to target their donation to the association.

Just put a donate button on the front page of the Drupal.org site that goes DIRECTLY to the association donation link.

How hard it this? There are many people like myself who would love to donate so that the speed issues on this site are alleviated. So, MAKE IT EASY.

I agree completely.

I'm certainly not made of money, so I couldnt afford a huge amount, But I'd certainly have no issue with tossing some money at drupal.org once in a while....a $10 here and a $20 there could certainly add up if everyone pitches in.

So far Ive been fairly happy both with drupal and the PEOPLE at drupal.org who have been very very helpful.

(Which, to be honest, in certain circles is rare these days since computing went mainstream)

The overworked core members of the Drupal community have been "encouraging" us all to get involved and help make the community better. So donating is one BIG way we can do that immediately, regardless of our time or skill level.

So Drupalers, PLEASE make it easy for us to do so!
