For my purposes I cross mixed functionalities of Autocomplete Deluxe for References with Node Reference Create module (http://drupal.org/node/1361580).

Attached is my new "acdx_node_reference.module" that implements the Node Reference Create functionality, actually adding at the end of the code the same validate function just to create new node in case no node with provided title exists ...

You have just to override with this the actual file of Autocomplete Deluxe for References.

Hope someone might produce a patch file for this, as I am not able to do ... or even put this in the new release of this module.

Yeah, works great for me too. Is it possible to integrate this into the dev version of the module, so us early adopters don't get off the upgrade path?
