Hello,
I've been asked to get a Drupal site (production level, viewable to the world) up and running on a mac. I usually use MAMP to get a Drupal site started - can I run MAMP on a production level site?
Are there better options?
Please educate me!

It sounds like when you say
It sounds like when you say "a mac" you mean a machine that's physically in your possession. I wouldn't recommend running any production level site in that context. But if you must have a DIY solution, then sure, I could recommend MAMP. I've also had success with XAMPP for OSX: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-macosx.html You might also want to check out the Acquia Stack Installer: http://www.acquia.com/comment/2356
Clarification
The end user(s) have a Mac mini server that they want their website to run on. I'm looking for the best solution given their insistence on running on a Mac mini.
Should also mention that this will be a 99+% static site. User just wants to have info online. Will not be interactive in any way...
