I am trying to create a Web on cinema with drupal. I want to use movie database to add the films. The bad thing is that I want to include 3000 films and is a very long work to do it by hand. Could be added the inclusion of the films of such form that concerned the data of imdb automatically or Amazon?

I re-open this issue since this can be done with the help of Createfromweb module. If the author is still active in this project maybe he can implement this option. Adding manually all the info is very discouraging for all of us -especially when imdb API exists. Adding info from scrapper is the only implementation I can think of. Imagine XBMC without it for example. Personally I am not willing to spend countless hours to add data manually when I know this can be done with a click of a button. Just planting seeds here.

I subscribe for this project, but until a crawler will be available for this module, you may consider use Collector (http://www.collectorz.com/) for adding movie information from imdb or dvdempire and then export into a mysql database using Kollection (http://www.collectortoolz.co.uk/kollection.html). Later, using the database you've created may be easier to build your site.

I'm currently not sure on what direction to take the module, but will take a look at the CreatefromWeb module and see how easily it can slot in.
