talk page displayed usng panels

Hello,

I use the Panels module to display most of my nodes. I am trying to display the talk page using panels too but can't make it work, when clicking the talk tab the page displays "normally". I tried adding a selection rule based on the talk page path in the Panels variant but to no avail. Perhaps someone managed to get this to work?
