People commenting on this issue do so because they want the Views maintainers to know that their work is appreciated.

I've been kind of hesitant to add a 'cred' issue to the Views module, since I'm afraid that the number of comments here will flood the entire site.

Seriously, Drupal would not be where it is today without Views. Not even close.

You maintainers rock.

Ah, yes, you are right. And now I have to go update 30 screencast episodes to link to the correct issue. :-/
(I *did* search for "cred" before adding this issue, but I should of course have searched for "awesomeness" too.)
