In other words admin menu, if the users chooses should be completely configurable like a user would configure any other menu in drupal. This would allow for custom build paths to add to the menu or remove ones that he/she thought were not needed. This will allow admin menu to be configured for role allowing admin menu functionality for other roles and create custom configuration based on the users needs. It would also remove the need to add a module like nice menus - It seems rather odd installing two modules that pretty much do the same thing, and just a bit redundant.

Also, one more thing. I think most drupal users can agree that adding content in drupal is quite a common task, if not one of the most common tasks, yet in drupal 7 in admin menu or the default toolbar menu you need to click find content and then click the link add content to add content. Why? This this really odd. There should be a link directly under content -> Add content.

This could also potentially solve this issue -> http://drupal.org/node/282775

I agree. I just spent the better part of an entire morning trying to figure out why I couldn't get to the admin menu! It just seems obvious to me at least, that you should be able to add/delete and edit items in that menu. (of course, I'm not the one coding this module either!)

I started the adventure because the parent "Content" works as needed, but the redundant childe "content" results in a 404 error.
Parent links to site.com/admin/content
child links to site.com/admin/content/node

I can't for the life of me figure out the remediation for this. Am I to understand that I have no access to the admin menu itself (for editing purposes)?

I LOVE this module and I don't ever ever ever want to admin a site without it! But I really need the links to be editable (or at least amendable)

Is there something I'm missing here?

PS I too would like a create content link under content as well, and I'm perfectly willing to add it in my menu manually, but I can't get to how to do that...
