Thanks for this module.
In my recent dev version of views (today) I cannot find the 'Use SQL to format date' text in the Configure field form. Maybe my bad searching or a difference between versions of views?

Current dev works. The 'Use SQL to format date'-checkbox is right below the Data-Format Drop-Down.

Here is a also patch for Views, which does actually the same: http://drupal.org/node/844202#comment-5294936

Using the views 7.x-3.3 there is no checkbox present after enabling aggregation. Can you verify that this still works?

I just checked, works with views 7.x-3.3 as expected. Somebody needs to make a video tutorial, I guess.

I think most, including myself, were looking for this functionality for date fields (date module) other that core post, updated, etc... dates.

Works well for what it's designed for. Marking as works as designed.

Anyone looking for this feature for date module fields should follow #1459320: Support every timestamp field.
