shakty commentedyes, it is... it is a bit hard to make predictions when an official dev version will be released, but we are working to fix a number of bugs at the moment..if u are interested in helping with the coding you can contact me directly.

Steve Dondley commentedI would only do minimal work on it but my programmer might be able to lend a hand. I guess it depends on what's involved. I have limited resources. But I'm definitely interested in at least looking into this as a way to automate the set up of features on sites.
Another possibility I'm thinking about is to use the old Perl module WWW::Mechanize and have a web bot configure the site.
I'm developing an open source distribution of drupal for unions.
Thanks for getting back.

shakty commentedIf your programmer is willing to help, he is of course really welcome! Also just for testing, and suggestions...we have a more updated version on github, that we will release as soon as it is stable. Let me know.
Steve Dondley commentedOK, I've downloaded the 7.x module with drush/git.
I'm very new to the whole git thing. Is the code on the github repo any different than what's on drupal.org?
shakty commentedThat code on github is more up to date. There are several developers working on Patterns, and not all of them have write access to the Drupal.org repository. So we use github as base for all of us. Periodically we copy a release to Drupal.org.
Notice that the code has still some issues (see the Github issues), and for now it supports only YAML patterns.
Let me know, if u have further questions.
Steve Dondley commentedWhat's the link to the project on the github site? Google didn't turn up anything except a pattern2 project.
shakty commentedThis is the link:
https://github.com/shakty/Patterns/
But I just saw that csko released an 7.x-1.0-alpha1 version today on Drupal.org. So that is very up to date too.
