Biblio community,
There are several threads about how to create a custom citation style. In our case we wanted to figure out why the citation formats for Reports, Posters, Book Chapters and Presentations were so sparse compared to Journal and Book citations.
We're using the CSE by default. So I thought we'd simply find the relevant publication type switches and just extend them.
However, inside the /biblio/styles/biblio_style_cse.inc there is only a default switch. I can't see:
1. How (technically) are two different citation formats even possible since there are no active type switches, and
2. How best to scale the daunting mountain of reg ex needed to add in a dedicated citation format for the Reports, Posters, etc? (ie, is there a shortcut?? I reviewed the MLA syntax but was none the wiser...)
Many thanks in advance....
JB

rjerome commentedHave you tried the CiteProc styles? They have much more complete "per type" styling, but the down side it they are a little harder to modify (at the present time).
