However I can't see any way to count unique hits. Maybe this could be another option for summarizing?

I think the Spread option might be what you're looking for. You will need the patch in #1366248: Spread doesn't work - call to theme_table incorrect and maybe in #1431710: Rows in spread tables appear out of order.

Just an FYI that those patches have been included in the 7.x-1.1 release.

I'll leave this open for a bit longer, but then if there's no response, I'm giing to close it.
