I have enabled Search in the modules and given permission to use it. I am trying to place the Search on the theme and there is no Search block to choose from in the list for this theme.

Hi,

The search block isn't part of the theme, so if it's missing, the problem is likely to be somewhere else.

Can you try to enable the search block in the default Bartik theme? If you also have difficulties there, then the problem isn't with any of the themes, but elsewhere in your system's configuration.

You are right. Sorry. I did some more digging and found that despite Search being enabled it was not showing up in any theme. I disabled and re-enabled it and then it showed up.
