This is the functionality I want to have:

  1. When admin adds a user with role "Employer", the created user gets a subdomain
  2. When a person registers on that subdomain, role "Employee" is added to newly created user, and a relationship between the "Employer" and newly created "Employee" is created.
  3. Employee can "shop" only on the subdomain he registered.

How can this be done?

http://drupal.org/project/domain_user is looking for a maintainer for a Drupal 7 port. It matches most of this use-case.

I dropped support for that module because I never use it.

Hi,
Just adding a +1 for hopefully getting the user subdomain added back into Domain Access - would be EXTREMELY useful! Thanks!

No. I will not support it.
