I've created a class scheduling calendar module that uses the Ctools, Date, Calendar, and Views modules to generate class events for a full month, reducing the number of keystrokes and mouse clicks to a fraction of those that are usually required.
The demo site allows you to go through the motions, but if you really want to change the existing calendar (or generate a new one) just use the "Contact Carl" link to request the code.
