I got a (basic page) content on my site in two languages (useing the translate tab). When i'm on the frontpage, switching languages with language switcher works ok (got diferent nodes set up for frontpage). But when i browse to the basic page and switch languages, it switches everything but the content node itself (switching language by link below the node works right). What am I doing wrong?

same probelm
Hey, Quarath, I'm having the same problem. Around my neighbourhood the content always switches with the interface...but apparently in some places people want to switch interface and content separately. So, I'm also looking for a way to switch language of content when interface is switched. (I've worked on or used hundreds of bilingual sites in Canada, and never have I seen a site where content and interface don't change at the same time.

Finally got it working
the content started switching with the language picker switcher block, once I disabled all Configurable fields in all content types, under Synchronize translations, and checked "Select nodes by language" in Multilingual Settings under Selection tab.

Also selected "selected
Also selected "selected languages from language block" under language switcher config.

Entity translation language switcher
Just a note that if you end up using the Entity translation module (rather than the Content translation module) for some content types, make sure to use their language switcher block, Language switcher (Content), rather than the regular langauge switcher block, Language switcher (User interface text), and also configure your Detection and selection settings. This spelled out in the Entity translation documentation.
If you don't do this then, the language switcher won't work correctly.

Hello, I have the same problem.
When i switch the language, everything (menu, block...) change, except the node.
so if I am on the node 6 (french) and switch to english, it should show me the node 7 (from the translation).

Multiligue variable needs to set
You need to enable 18n/variable in drupal 7 admin/config/regional/i18n/variable nnd doing that will solve most of the language switching issues
