I used this theme for the first time on a website I am in the process of developing for a church organization. I like it a lot! It gives me a considerable amount more flexibility than some other themes I was working from; probably because it is foundational and not already loaded down with a lot of other stuff.

Having said that, I never studied theming formally and am learning-while-doing. One thing I need to figure out, but cannot seem to, is how to force a color change in the blocks. I set the universal font color to 260000. The problem is that the right and left columns, where the blocks appear, are also set to 260000. That was done per the wishes that this organizational website resembles the website of their church. Could you please tell me where and/or how, in your theme code, to force fonts in the blocks to be a specific color other than the universal font color?
