I have a view with 15 exposed filters, all taxonomy terms ("taxonomy term ID (with depth)"). The idea of the view is to give users multiple choices across the 15 different criteria which will then show relevant nodes in the results. The site contains about 300 nodes, each categorised into anything between zero and several terms in each of the 15 vocabularies. I installed Views Or because with all the filters ANDed together I was usually getting no results, which I assume was because there are simply not that many nodes that feature the correct combination of selected terms to produce a TRUE result. I've put "Views Or: Next alternative" before each of the 15 filters as I assumed this would produce results on the basis that any one selection was TRUE. The problem now is that I'm getting scores and scores of results (most of which aren't very relevant because they only match one term) which is just as useless as getting none at all. It's not a duplicates issue as "reduce duplicates" is ticked for both the whole view and in each term filter. Have I done something wrong or have I simply misunderstood the filtering system? If the latter are there any tips for reducing the number of results?
