I did the following:-

I upload a file whilst editing a new node, using the 'upload' button.
I then decide to delete it and tick the 'delete' checkbox.
Finally i click 'preview' to check out how my node will appear.

The table listing all the current files associated with the node gets messed up and the form elements are listed vertically on the page.

Also whilst doing the above, I noticed that the document I originally uploaded, then decided to delete before submitting the node form didn't always get deleted from the filesystem.

Can you please verify if this problem persists with filefield 2.x? Its user interface parts have been replaced by new code, so it might not be an issue anymore.
