Hi,

I'm posting this in order to get some feedback from others dealing with Acquia.
We're a small development agency based in Canada and we are in the middle of a big project.
As the client requires Acquia Search for their website we applied for the partnership program at Acquia in order to get support from them. We've downloaded and signed the contracts and sent them to Aquia about a month ago. Since then, no one has ever contacted us with any kind of confirmation, no status update, nothing... Since then I've sent them at list 3 other emails about this with no result. Not even an email to inform us about the status.
The reason that I'm posting this is to find out of we should start to look somewhere else for support as Acquia does not seem to care too much.
Is anyone else dealing with Acquia and how was your experience so far when it comes to support and communication?

Thanks in advance.
Alex.

hello dear Alex -

i might not be the right one to answer your question - since i am on drupal for only on week - so i have almost no (zero) experience.

but i wonder if you look for http://www.acquia.com - do you or not.

i got to know this site as they work on the commons - see http://www.acquia.com/products-services/acquia-commons-social-business-s...
Well i do not have any idea how they ( http://www.acquia.com ) do their job. I just stumbled across your thread and wondered whats the deal with your partner?!

Well i look forward to hear from you - did you misspell the name or are you after another company?

greetings
unleash

yes, it's "www.acquia.com" I just misspelled the name in the subject line, there was a missing 'c'.
Thanks!

Yes, Commons is available for free and you can easily download it and use it. We're working together with the Drupal association to make it (and other distributions, all free) available on drupal.org. Until that is ready, you can download Commons here:

many many thanks for the reply. Great to hear that.

Question: where can i find a list of showcases of sites that run commons?

love to hear from you.

greetings unleash

BTW - keep up the great project - it rocks - and you have lots of friends out there...!!!

Hello Alex,

I'd be happy to help sort this out for you. It sounds like you've submitted an application to join our Partner program which is different from our Support & Tools subscription offerings. The Partner program is designed to create a sales and referral business relationship between companies and our Support subscriptions are designed to provide access to our tools and support services.

I will follow up and have someone contact you on the status of your Partner application. One of our sales representatives will also contact you to explain the available options for obtaining a support subscription for yourself or your client.

Thank you for considering Acquia and for the opportunity to respond.

Best regards,
Kent Gale, Sr. Director, Client Advisory Team

I've just found this thread after searching to see if anyone else is experiencing very poor Acquia support. There are lots of issues with their site, documentation, ticketing system, support etc, so I'm not surprised you had to wait weeks for a response. It really feels like Acquia is still beta testing their service.

i am pretty new to drupal - but i see that the buddies work very very hard on the drupal-Commons.

see the new things they work on:

Head over to Drupal-Commons at http://commons.acquia.com/home
