I have a non-required bible field attached to a node. If I try and save the node without specifying a passage, I get a lovely sql error (attached) as it tries to insert an empty reference into the database. This means you can't save the node at all, as well as presenting a nasty error.

Same error here - Just tried module for first time this evening.
1. I added the field to a content type
2. In one content item, I added a verse, saved the item, and then edited the item again, and tried to save. When I did, it had added another Bible verse location (though I didn't ask it to), and wouldn't let me save any changes. Instead, it gave me some the error shown in the original issue's attached image.

Hopefully it'll be a simple fix, b/c this module is just perfectly what I've been looking for, for quite some time. I'm sure others have been wanting this as well.

Hmmm. I can't reproduce this issue so it seems fixed if ever there was indeed a bug.
