I'm not sure if this is a bug in Feeds XLS or if it's further upstream, but when I create a feeds user importer (Fetcher is local file, parser is "Excel Parser", processor is "user processor"), and then attempt to use an xls file, I get the error message "Only files with the following extensions are allowed: txt csv tsv xml opml."

I can't figure out where the allowable file types are being set; after searching around in the issue queues I gather that this can be set / overridden at the module level? Just not sure where to look.

Create a new importer or edit an existing one.
In Fetcher section, click Change and select File upload. Save.
Next, you need to update File Upload settings. Click Settings next to 'File Upload' label. Voila! Edit your extensions in the form and save.
