Hello,

Just wanted to share my first website. http://www.districtbeats.com/ I was hoping to make a community website for musicians/music fans/DJs in the DC area.

I used the Zen theme. Tried out way too many modules to list. Having some issues with with small things, embedding photos in posts for one (and TinyMCE in general), but hey...It is my first site, and I'm learning.

That being said I think the site turned out pretty well, considering until about a month ago I had never even heard of "Drupal." My only previous experience with a CMS was work related (*cough*cough* Windows Sharepoint.) So, thanks to everyone on drupal.org for all their help and excellent contributions. I imagine it'll be a while before I break out of my "rank ametuer" drupal skills, but when I do I hope to make a more meaningful (less leeching) contribution to this community.

thx

You've gotten a lot farther than I have in a month on my site and I've been with Drupal for 2 years. Looks like a nice site.

Hi there,

cool site.

May I ask you what modules did you use for the audio player? is it also an opensource module?

You said you've done the site in about a month, can you estimate how many hours did you spend on it? we are evaluating the CMS for our company

thx in advance

thanks for the feedback.

I just used the audio module. It seems to meet all my needs. I had to get some information from my host, though as far as restricting file sizes, etc. For a commercial site drupal's ability to enforce quotas might be a problem. (Maybe I just don't know how to do it.)

Thats sort of how I got introduced to drupal myself. The company I work for was looking for a CMS to do a side website, and I was supposed to check out Joomla, drupal, etc. Drupal met all of our needs, and seemed to be the easiest to learn. I liked it so much, I decided to build my own site.

thanks again
