uc_free_order when patched hides the billing field for orders that are free. However, when problems BECOME free through the use of a coupon we still have the required billing pane. How do we get the billing pane to go away (ajax style) after applying a coupon code that brings the price down to zero?

I can't reproduce this. If I install uc_free_order, and enter a 100% discount coupon on the checkout page, the payment method pane is reduced. Please post the exact series of steps necessary to produce the problem, including screenshots if possible and a list of the other modules, tax-rates, shipping quotes and payment methods you have enabled. Also, what do you mean by "when patched" regarding uc_free_order? What patch are you using?
