When I tried to create the schema Type "Map"...I get this error in Google rich snippet testing tool...........his page does not contain authorship or rich snippet markup.

The event , person and recipe type work well...............

This is because the type map is not yet supported by Google Rich Snippets. See the list of types currently supported by Google.

However you are use the schema.org Map on your site, it's just that it won't be used immediately, but Google might add support for it at some point.
